Adolfo Mikelar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Raimundo Bastian in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adolfo Mikelar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Merlo booed when Spacta FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Basilio Theodore didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fermin Patrido got in the 27th minute a good position and tried a long shot which to a great surprise passed a very astonished Adolfo Mikelar. This was a shot which ended in a score of 1-0. Thanks to some nice moves Raimundo Bastian could shoot a difficult shot in the 33rd minute, which Adolfo Mikelar however easily saved by the left post. Adolfo Mikelar came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Merlo's Raimundo Bastian. But to his dismay, Raimundo Bastian quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Adolfo Mikelar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Santo Pelagius in the 42nd minute of the match. Javier Gerazan was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 45 minutes into the match. 45 minutes into the game, one of Spacta FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Fermin Patrido shot the penalty kick right outside the post. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Nunez Monico's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gualterio Serafo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. When the referee ended the match the Merlo players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
