Claudio Mino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benito Quintan in the 11th minute of play. When Arturo Espiridion came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the CSyD José C. Paz fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arturo Espiridion couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fausto Mitxaut in the 19th minute of play forced US Lecce's goalkeeper Leonides Cuarto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leonides Cuarto made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Arturo Espiridion sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, US Lecce's Gogo Jon got a free kick in the 26th minute. Bruno Gaizkine kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. 39 minutes into the game, Arturo Espiridion recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Leonides Cuarto. Arturo Espiridion showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. In the 45th minute, Arturo Espiridion made a precise shot to the right of Leonides Cuarto. US Lecce's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arturo Espiridion was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arturo Espiridion in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leonides Cuarto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to US Lecce getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Pastor Ortzi hit a great ball. Pastor Ortzi hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. In the 54th minute of the match Daniel Dantae shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Leonides Cuarto showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arturo Espiridion in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leonides Cuarto saved US Lecce from getting behind. Arturo Espiridion sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. CSyD José C. Paz's Simon Gumaro got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Benito Quintan hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Arturo Espiridion's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leonides Cuarto was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. Claudio Mino was a little too slow when Benito Quintan got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 82nd minute. The score was now 3-1. 87 minutes into the game, CSyD José C. Paz's Fausto Mitxaut nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Leonides Cuarto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. In the 95thth minute of the game Arturo Espiridion who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but US Lecce's Leonides Cuarto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. CSyD José C. Paz had played much better football throughout.
