Leonides Rafel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Justo Maju, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Justo Maju sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 16 minutes, Justo Maju managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. San Lorenzo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Justo Maju was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hormiguero FC's Leonides Rafel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cleto Orain in the 18th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in San Lorenzo's zone, Aureliano Pasqual stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claudio Izotz came out of the goal and Aureliano Pasqual tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 24th minute, Aureliano Pasqual left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hormiguero FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. In the 29th minute, Anibal Francis fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Claudio Izotz, passed just outside the right post. Anibal Francis might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Claudio Izotz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Anibal Francis ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Hormiguero FC booed when San Lorenzo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mateo Garikoitz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aureliano Pasqual in the 36thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Claudio Izotz, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When Aureliano Pasqual came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Hormiguero FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aureliano Pasqual couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anibal Francis in the 39th minute of play forced San Lorenzo's goalkeeper Claudio Izotz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Claudio Izotz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anibal Francis, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Aureliano Pasqual struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Claudio Izotz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hormiguero FC. Anibal Francis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudio Izotz having to interfere. Aureliano Pasqual could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Claudio Izotz made a huge save. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Anibal Francis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aureliano Pasqual took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Claudio Izotz. Claudio Izotz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Aureliano Pasqual struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Claudio Izotz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hormiguero FC. Anibal Francis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 63rd match minute, San Lorenzo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mateo Garikoitz to maneuver through the defense. Aureliano Pasqual sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Claudio Izotz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anibal Francis in the 68th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in San Lorenzo's zone, Aureliano Pasqual stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claudio Izotz came out of the goal and Aureliano Pasqual tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Anibal Francis scored 4-0 in the 74th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Claudio Izotz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 88 minutes of play, Hormiguero FC's Aureliano Pasqual made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Claudio Izotz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Anibal Francis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudio Izotz having to interfere. Hormiguero FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
