An unexpectedly hard shot by Bonifacio Jacob in the 35th minute of play forced Pancho’s Dream Team's goalkeeper Antonio Arias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Geronimo Rumaldo during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Pancho’s Dream Team's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rastrojos FC the free kick. Rastrojos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bonifacio Jacob was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 92 minutes into the match, Pancho’s Dream Team's goal looked a bit too open when Bonifacio Jacob came free, but Antonio Arias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 96th minute, Arturo Jerico got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pancho’s Dream Team's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
