After having played for 16 minutes, Ignacio Ciceron managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Independiente rey d copas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ignacio Ciceron was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Viamonte's Ambrosio Geofredo got a free kick in the 17th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Federico Esiquio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Independiente rey d copas's supporters rose to their feet, but Federico Esiquio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aurelio Abadie breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Ignacio Ciceron had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ezequiel Ekain showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dionisio Ubendu in the 26th minute of the match. Laureano Bieito who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 27thth minute tested the skills of Aurelio Abadie when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 28th match minute, Viamonte was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastian Lluc to maneuver through the defense. 31 minutes into the match, Viamonte's goal looked a bit too open when Ignacio Ciceron came free, but Aurelio Abadie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dionisio Ubendu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dionisio Ubendu made a kick off. Alfonso Markel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ezequiel Ekain having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 56 minutes, Ezequiel Ekain successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Nicasio Maria kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. After having played for 58 minutes, Dionisio Ubendu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Viamonte's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dionisio Ubendu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 60 minutes into the match, Ignacio Ciceron notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Viamonte's Aurelio Abadie. Aurelio Abadie was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Dionisio Ubendu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Ezequiel Ekain tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Alfonso Markel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ignacio Ciceron sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Laureano Bieito recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Aurelio Abadie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ignacio Ciceron, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Ignacio Ciceron came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Independiente rey d copas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ignacio Ciceron couldn't finish the play. Dionisio Ubendu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ezequiel Ekain read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. 96 minutes into the match, Independiente rey d copas's goalkeeper Ezequiel Ekain had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alfonso Markel.
