The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Marcos Piarres charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marcos Piarres the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, ClubAtléticoTrenzasUnidas's Marcos Piarres got a free kick in the 7th minute. If Marcos Piarres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 14 minutes, Marcos Piarres managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ClubAtléticoTrenzasUnidas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcos Piarres was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Jagüel AFC's zone, Alfonso Asur stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eugenio Dominguez came out of the goal and Alfonso Asur tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Marcos Piarres came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the ClubAtléticoTrenzasUnidas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcos Piarres couldn't finish the play. In the 21st minute Marcos Piarres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eugenio Dominguez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alfonso Asur fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eugenio Dominguez having to interfere. After 24 played minutes Jagüel AFC got a freekick which was hit by Marcos Bixintxo. When Oliver Rydsteen fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ClubAtléticoTrenzasUnidas's protests and gave Oliver Rydsteen a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Jagüel AFC getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Benigno Eate hit a great ball. If Alfonso Asur had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Elvio Palban to make the kick off. Marcos Piarres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 56 minutes, Marcos Piarres managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ClubAtléticoTrenzasUnidas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcos Piarres was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. ClubAtléticoTrenzasUnidas's Alfonso Asur got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marcos Piarres took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eugenio Dominguez. Eugenio Dominguez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. After having played for 69 minutes, Alfonso Asur managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ClubAtléticoTrenzasUnidas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfonso Asur was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marcos Piarres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Eugenio Dominguez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jagüel AFC's Eugenio Dominguez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfonso Asur in the 77th minute of play. Eugenio Dominguez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfonso Asur in the 78th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Marcos Piarres's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eugenio Dominguez was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. If Marcos Piarres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 83rd minute, Marcos Piarres got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Leonel Cordarryl's late challenge caught a ClubAtléticoTrenzasUnidas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leonel Cordarryl helped the player get up and apologised. Leonel Cordarryl hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. In the 86th minute Alfonso Asur shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eugenio Dominguez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 88 minutes into the match, Marcos Piarres had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eugenio Dominguez. Jagüel AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marcos Piarres was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 92nd match minute, ClubAtléticoTrenzasUnidas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oliver Rydsteen to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, ClubAtléticoTrenzasUnidas's Americo Galsino got control of the ball when Benigno Eate tried to sneak it across the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. ClubAtléticoTrenzasUnidas fully deserved thier win.
