The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gregorio Ciano helped the player get up and apologised. Alejandro Loco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eloy Mendiko in the 10th minute of the match. Gustavo Furman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Clemente Bixintxo in the 17th minute. Alejandro Loco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eloy Mendiko in the 23rd minute of play. When Clemente Bixintxo came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Cascarísima fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Clemente Bixintxo couldn't finish the play. In the 38th minute, Benjamin Gombal reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gustavo Furman. The goal made the score 1-0. The supporters of Petronila AFC booed when Cascarísima was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benjamin Gombal didn't get a good kick on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eloy Mendiko to make the kick off.
