Ernesto Cordara's late challenge caught a Club atlético monte castr's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

In the 89th minute Rigoberto Frascuelo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reynaldo Lucian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joaquin Taurino came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Guayacol United's Jeremias Gaxan. But to his dismay, Jeremias Gaxan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Club atlético monte castr were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
