In the 16th minute, Sergio Quintin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Clemente Bixintxo struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Israel Mero didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cascarísima. If Clemente Bixintxo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vilismán's Israel Mero proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Vilismán from getting a goal against them. In the 29th minute of the match Cascarísima got a corner. Vilismán's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Fermin Geleberto ran over to the corner to take the kick. Cascarísima's Fermin Geleberto was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Israel Mero in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 30th match minute, Vilismán was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilberto Ibañez to maneuver through the defense. 31 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Cascarísima's Benjamin Gombal fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. With 33 minutes on the clock, Marcelino Gudesteo commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 32 minutes into the game, one of Vilismán:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. With a little luck, Vilismán's Israel Mero got control of the ball when Sergio Quintin tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Arnaldo Ugaitz came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Vilismán fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arnaldo Ugaitz couldn't finish the play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arnaldo Ugaitz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Israel Mero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clemente Bixintxo in the 66th minute of play. Clemente Bixintxo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Israel Mero having to interfere. Benjamin Gombal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Israel Mero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 74th minute Benjamin Gombal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Israel Mero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Clemente Bixintxo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Israel Mero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benjamin Gombal in the 84th minute of play. 85 minutes in the game, Gilberto Ibañez fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Alejandro Loco having to interfere.
