Candelaria's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Papagallos the free kick. A collision led to Candelaria getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Timoteo Noe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernesto Dayam in the 38th minute of play. In the 40th minute of the match, Carmelo Ferrer tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Isidoro Deunoro saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Danilo Benino kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Martin Baristo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Candelaria's supporters rose to their feet, but Martin Baristo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Timoteo Noe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Timoteo Noe came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Candelaria's Ernesto Dayam. But to his dismay, Ernesto Dayam quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

Timoteo Noe made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Roman Salvatore sent off a good shot on target. If Roman Salvatore had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Ernesto Dayam came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Candelaria fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ernesto Dayam couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Braulio Ado got free with Timoteo Noe in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Isidoro Deunoro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carmelo Ferrer in the 66th minute of the match. The Papagallos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Timoteo Noe should have stopped the shot. The Candelaria supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Candelaria would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
