Lisandro Baumar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 11th minute, Efrain Jacob left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Petronila AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Reynaldo Lucian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lisandro Baumar in the 19th minute of play. Lisandro Baumar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Reynaldo Lucian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lisandro Baumar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Efrain Jacob had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 34th minute, Lisandro Baumar fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Reynaldo Lucian, passed just outside the right post. Jeremias Gaxan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nicanor Medina's late challenge caught a Guayacol United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nicanor Medina helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 38th minute of the game. One of Petronila AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Guayacol United:s goal. Gustavo Furman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeremias Gaxan in the 44th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Alvaro Bortzaioriz kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Efrain Jacob fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reynaldo Lucian having to interfere. Jeremias Gaxan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 62 minutes into the match, Petronila AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Jeremias Gaxan came free, but Gustavo Furman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ernesto Cordara struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Gustavo Furman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guayacol United. Guayacol United's Guaberto Azibar suffered a sore foot after 65 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The supporters of Guayacol United booed when Petronila AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Clemente Calixto didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Ernesto Cordara managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guayacol United's supporters rose to their feet, but Ernesto Cordara was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gustavo Furman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Ernesto Cordara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 82 minutes, Ernesto Cordara managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guayacol United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ernesto Cordara was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Efrain Jacob had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lisandro Baumar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reynaldo Lucian having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Guayacol United's zone, Lisandro Baumar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Reynaldo Lucian came out of the goal and Lisandro Baumar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Reynaldo Lucian showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lisandro Baumar, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
