The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Monteverde's Cesar Quinto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guaberto Azibar in the 3rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gustavo Juvenal got free with Reynaldo Lucian in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jeronimo Sein fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reynaldo Lucian having to interfere. Monteverde's Cesar Quinto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeremias Gaxan in the 11th minute of play. 16 minutes into the game, Jeremias Gaxan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Cesar Quinto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jeronimo Sein took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Reynaldo Lucian. Reynaldo Lucian dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Reynaldo Lucian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jeronimo Sein in the 25th minute of the match. Cesar Quinto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeremias Gaxan, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Cesar Quinto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernesto Cordara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Monteverde's Cesar Quinto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeremias Gaxan in the 34th minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, Monteverde's goal looked a bit too open when Ernesto Cordara came free, but Cesar Quinto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 39 minutes into the game, Marcos Fonda was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cesar Quinto showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 47th match minute, Monteverde was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Celso Telo to maneuver through the defense. In the 48th minute of the match Herminio Izel shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cesar Quinto showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jeremias Gaxan was the one to do the kick off. Hector Honesto hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Reynaldo Lucian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jeronimo Sein in the 62nd minute of the match. Jeronimo Sein fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reynaldo Lucian having to interfere. The referee felt a red card was in order, 69 minutes into the game, when Marcos Fonda put in a rough tackle. 69 minutes into the game, one of Monteverde:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Cesar Quinto. Jeronimo Sein recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 80 minutes into the game, Blas Bernad recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Cesar Quinto. Blas Bernad showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. Reynaldo Lucian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Inocencio Policarpio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Monteverde's Inocencio Policarpio got a free kick in the 86th minute. Monteverde's Cesar Quinto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Monteverde from getting a goal against them. Reynaldo Lucian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Inocencio Policarpio in the 92nd minute of the match. In the 93rd minute of the match Gustavo Juvenal sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Reynaldo Lucian skillfully saved the ball. 94 minutes in the game, Ernesto Cordara fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Cesar Quinto having to interfere. In the 96th minute Jeremias Gaxan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cesar Quinto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
