The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Habana Comunicaciones Clú's zone, Hilario Ler stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Braulio Pitin came out of the goal and Hilario Ler tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Braulio Stanislao fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Braulio Pitin having to interfere. Hilario Ler recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 15th minute, Paulo Garaile fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Ruperto Aznaro, passed just outside the right post. With a little luck, Ramallo's Ruperto Aznaro got control of the ball when German Lopez tried to sneak it across the goal line. 18 minutes into the match, Ramallo's goalkeeper Ruperto Aznaro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by German Lopez. Habana Comunicaciones Clú's Braulio Pitin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Braulio Stanislao in the 22nd minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, Ramallo's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Garaile came free, but Ruperto Aznaro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Braulio Pitin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hilario Ler, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Natalio Herensuge kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. After 37 played minutes Paulo Garaile rounded Ramallo's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. Habana Comunicaciones Clú's Braulio Pitin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hilario Ler in the 42nd minute of play. In the 44th minute, Eduardo Petrigai hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If German Lopez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hilario Ler was the one to do the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Ramallo's Hilario Ler slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Braulio Pitin. That made the score 1-1 after 54 minutes of play. 58 minutes into the match, German Lopez notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Ramallo's Ruperto Aznaro. Ruperto Aznaro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Bonifacio Ado kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. If Paulo Garaile had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bonifacio Ado scored 3-1 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ruperto Aznaro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 89 minutes into the match, Habana Comunicaciones Clú's Paulo Garaile sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ruperto Aznaro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Habana Comunicaciones Clú's zone, Orlando Rumaldo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Braulio Pitin came out of the goal and Orlando Rumaldo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Braulio Pitin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hilario Ler in the 95th minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Habana Comunicaciones Clú fans cheered their team off the field, for while Ramallo had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
