Arturo Blai started the match with the kick off. Leandro Mambru might have been able to make a better finish in the 4th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Romulo Maurin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leandro Mambru ran back to his position shaking his head. 7 minutes into the game, GF Cachengue's Leandro Mambru nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Romulo Maurin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Leandro Mambru struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Romulo Maurin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for GF Cachengue. The supporters of Independiente booed when GF Cachengue was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Nabar didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Arturo Blai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 23rd minute, Adolfo Onofre ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Romulo Maurin was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 25 minutes into the match, Independiente's goal looked a bit too open when Leandro Mambru came free, but Romulo Maurin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 28th minute, Leandro Mambru left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The GF Cachengue fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leandro Mambru in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Romulo Maurin saved Independiente from getting behind. Romeo Estefan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leandro Mambru made a kick off. Luisito Matxin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arturo Blai in the 55th minute of play. Leandro Mambru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Romulo Maurin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eulalio Basualdo made in the 59th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by GF Cachengue's German Frascuelo. Luisito Matxin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Casimiro Ramond in the 65th minute of the match. Prospero Lucado hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Independiente's goalkeeper Romulo Maurin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 69th match minute, Independiente was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albano Salvino to maneuver through the defense. In the 70th minute, Leandro Mambru reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Romulo Maurin. The goal made the score 0-5. Romeo Estefan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With an all-out effort, GF Cachengue's Romulo Maurin threw himself towards the right post 80 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Leandro Mambru, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Leandro Mambru blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Romulo Maurin having to make a save. Romulo Maurin made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Donato Cloyo sent off a good shot on target. Romeo Estefan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
