Nicolas Marko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacobo Qwinton having to interfere. If Ciro Luzaide had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ildefonso Blasco to make the kick off. Pablo Vargas took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hilario Fresco. Hilario Fresco dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. When Ciro Luzaide came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Parque Chacabuco fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ciro Luzaide couldn't finish the play. After 87 minutes of play, Parque Chacabuco's Agustin Cebrian made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hilario Fresco was left in no man's land by his defense there!
