The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 minutes, Lorenzo Che mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fundido a Negro and the Chipisca players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Fundido a Negro's Lorenzo Che got a free kick in the 3rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Fundido a Negro's zone, Aristides Casado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guaberto Pacorro came out of the goal and Aristides Casado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Guaberto Pacorro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristo Luar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 14 minutes Chipisca's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Melquiades Furtado who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Fundido a Negro's corner Melquiades Furtado fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Richard Prado quite easily take care of the ball. In the 15th match minute, Fundido a Negro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Efrain Gilen to maneuver through the defense. Armando Teodor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Richard Prado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armando Teodor, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. 23 minutes in the game, Armando Teodor fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Richard Prado having to interfere. If Aristides Casado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Armando Teodor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Richard Prado having to interfere. Guaberto Pacorro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristo Luar in the 44th minute of play. In the 45th minute, Aristides Casado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Guaberto Pacorro came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Chipisca's Ruben Gurutz. But to his dismay, Ruben Gurutz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Armando Teodor was the one to do the kick off. Richard Prado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lorenzo Che in the 62nd minute of play. A collision led to Chipisca getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Delmar Maureo hit a great ball. When Saul Sagrario fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chipisca's protests and gave Saul Sagrario a yellow card for diving instead. The referee gave Fundido a Negro a penalty, 67 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Melquiades Furtado, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Chipisca's Richard Prado. 1-1. Guaberto Pacorro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aristides Casado in the 70th minute of the match. In the 72nd minute of the match Melquiades Furtado shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Richard Prado showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 77 minutes into the match, Chipisca's Cristo Luar sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Guaberto Pacorro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Fundido a Negro getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Fidel Hats hit a great ball. Aristides Casado scored 1-2 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Guaberto Pacorro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cristo Luar blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Guaberto Pacorro having to make a save. Cristo Luar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Guaberto Pacorro made a huge save. Fundido a Negro's Lorenzo Che got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 100 minutes, Delmar Maureo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chipisca and the Fundido a Negro players grew even worse after the yellow card. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Chipisca walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
