Erasmo Colon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hilario Fresco read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. Hilario Fresco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antonio Quintyn, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ildefonso Blasco in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Baltasar Bernaldo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Baltasar Bernaldo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ildefonso Blasco in the 27th minute. Antonio Quintyn's late challenge caught a GorditoGolpista FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Antonio Quintyn helped the player get up and apologised. Antonio Quintyn kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. An unexpected shot in the 44th minute by Ildefonso Blasco got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ildefonso Blasco to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in GorditoGolpista FC's zone, Antonio Quintyn stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hilario Fresco came out of the goal and Antonio Quintyn tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Antonio Quintyn hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Nicolas Marko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 62nd minute, Erasmo Colon made a precise shot to the right of Hilario Fresco. GorditoGolpista FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After 68 played minutes GorditoGolpista FC got a freekick which was hit by Nicanor Mannuel. Ildefonso Blasco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Baltasar Bernaldo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Baltasar Bernaldo came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by GorditoGolpista FC's Nicolas Marko. But to his dismay, Nicolas Marko quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 89th minute, Ildefonso Blasco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Baltasar Bernaldo was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. GorditoGolpista FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
