Ceferino Milio's late challenge caught a Jeri FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The shot was stopped by Ramiro Arixo but with some difficulty. After a defensive mix-up in Jeri FC's zone, Jairo Seber stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Higinio Quilo came out of the goal and Jairo Seber tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bruno Milian recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ramiro Arixo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teodoro Furman in the 39th minute of play. Jairo Seber fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Higinio Quilo having to interfere. Teodoro Furman received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ramiro Arixo came out and tried to block the shot, but Teodoro Furman slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 46th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Teodoro Furman stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jairo Seber might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Higinio Quilo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jairo Seber ran back to his position shaking his head. 61 minutes into the match, Jeri FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sergio Segio came free, but Higinio Quilo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 63 played minutes Barakaldo C.F. got a freekick which was hit by Edgard Orkatz. Teodoro Furman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramiro Arixo having to interfere. Higinio Quilo was a little too slow when Sergio Segio got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 69th minute. The score was now 2-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Bruno Milian managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jeri FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Bruno Milian was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ramiro Arixo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 80th minute Bruno Milian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramiro Arixo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ramiro Arixo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teodoro Furman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ramiro Arixo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruno Milian in the 85th minute of play. In the 88th match minute, Barakaldo C.F. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isaias Calvino to maneuver through the defense. Barakaldo C.F.'s Isaias Calvino got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sergio Segio was extremely unlucky when he, in the 95th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gilberto Garci during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gilberto Garci hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Barakaldo C.F.'s Laureano Frans couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 98th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Jeri FC. Barakaldo C.F.'s players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
