The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Melchor Azibar showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 18 played minutes GACHI Y PACHI got a freekick which was hit by Jairo Cordara. After a rather tough play, Buenos Aires's Ciriaco Rivero got a free kick in the 20th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jairo Cordara in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Melchor Azibar saved Buenos Aires from getting behind. Jairo Cordara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Jairo Cordara came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the GACHI Y PACHI fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jairo Cordara couldn't finish the play. Dalmacio Bonifaco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Melchor Azibar having to interfere. 48 minutes into the game, GACHI Y PACHI's Blas Barros nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Melchor Azibar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Melchor Ralondo to make the kick off. Melchor Azibar yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. 89 minutes into the match, Buenos Aires's goalkeeper Melchor Azibar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Blas Barros. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jairo Cordara in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Melchor Azibar saved Buenos Aires from getting behind. In the 92ndth minute of the game Jairo Cordara who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Buenos Aires's Melchor Azibar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Aurelio Guillem's late challenge caught a GACHI Y PACHI's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
