The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bernardo Quintyn could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Arnaldo Romildo made a huge save. When Eulalio Chesus came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Club Atlético Belgrano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eulalio Chesus couldn't finish the play. Anastasio Liher took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eulalio Chesus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 35th minute, Nicolas Estavan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Anastasio Liher made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Honorio Neto in the 37th minute of play. Nicolas Estavan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arnaldo Romildo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Honorio Neto was the one to do the kick off. Club Atlético Belgrano's Arnaldo Romildo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernardo Quintyn in the 56th minute of play. When Eulalio Chesus came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Club Atlético Belgrano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eulalio Chesus couldn't finish the play. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Fighiera's goalkeeper Anastasio Liher, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Bernardo Quintyn's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arnaldo Romildo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. After having played for 80 minutes, Eulalio Chesus managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Atlético Belgrano's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eulalio Chesus was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eulalio Chesus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anastasio Liher having to interfere. If Bernardo Quintyn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 90 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Belgrano's goal looked a bit too open when Nicolas Estavan came free, but Arnaldo Romildo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 93 played minutes Club Atlético Belgrano got a freekick which was hit by Baldomero Demario. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Fighiera had won after a very even match.
