In the 22nd match minute, Newells Old Boys was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Inocente to maneuver through the defense. Marciano Aztore made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ermegildo Munio in the 29th minute of play. In the 34th minute Hugo Foro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marciano Aztore saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 37 played minutes La Aguada II got a freekick which was hit by Felix Frasco. 40 minutes into the match, Hugo Foro notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Newells Old Boys's Marciano Aztore. Marciano Aztore was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Newells Old Boys getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. After 58 played minutes La Aguada II got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Lidon. Ermegildo Munios short, quick shot in the 62ndth minute got Marciano Aztore to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Ermegildo Munio managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Aguada II's supporters rose to their feet, but Ermegildo Munio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marciano Aztore breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ermegildo Munio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Marciano Aztore tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
