Norberto Montae made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Prudencio Bakar in the 3rd minute of play. In the 7thth minute of the game Prudencio Bakar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Parque Chacabuco F.C.'s Norberto Montae was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Norberto Montae made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Prudencio Bakar in the 8th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Venancio Pacifico in the 9th minute of play forced Parque Chacabuco F.C.'s goalkeeper Norberto Montae to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Venancio Pacifico came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Icaño fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Venancio Pacifico couldn't finish the play. Venancio Pacifico sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 18 minutes into the match, Parque Chacabuco F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Prudencio Bakar came free, but Norberto Montae reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Timoteo Lugo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Parque Chacabuco F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Timoteo Lugo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Virgilio Vachon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Tomás Rocendo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Prudencio Bakar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Norberto Montae having to interfere. Prudencio Bakar might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Norberto Montae. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Prudencio Bakar ran back to his position shaking his head. If Timoteo Lugo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Parque Chacabuco F.C.'s zone, Venancio Pacifico stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Norberto Montae came out of the goal and Venancio Pacifico tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Prudencio Bakar made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Timoteo Lugo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Virgilio Vachon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 54 minutes into the game, Gonzalo Vergaray was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Icaño's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Parque Chacabuco F.C. the free kick. In the 54th minute, Gonzalo Vergaray hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Virgilio Vachon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomás Rocendo in the 55th minute of the match. After 55 minutes, Ladislao Matthew mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Icaño and the Parque Chacabuco F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. Parque Chacabuco F.C. were awarded a corner in the 58th minute after Icaño's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Domingo Shepherd took the corner. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Icaño's goalie and right to Aldo Edorta. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Icaño's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. After a rather tough play, Parque Chacabuco F.C.'s Cosme Ellande got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Prudencio Bakar struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Norberto Montae didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Icaño. If Tomás Rocendo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 83 minutes, Timoteo Lugo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Parque Chacabuco F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Timoteo Lugo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Venancio Pacifico managed to get in a good position for a shot. Icaño's supporters rose to their feet, but Venancio Pacifico was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Norberto Montae breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Antonio Telo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Norberto Montae having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Venancio Pacifico got free with Norberto Montae in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 98th minute, Tomás Rocendo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Virgilio Vachon was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2.
