After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Leo Bidari managed to get in a good position for a shot. Carabelas's supporters rose to their feet, but Leo Bidari was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Silvestre Giro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Benito Quinteros could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Silverio Umea made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Benito Quinteros got free with Silverio Umea in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Benito Quinteros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Silverio Umea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 28th minute, Teofilo Derwin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Garré AFC's Silvestre Giro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leo Bidari in the 33rd minute of play. 36 minutes into the match, Garré AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Leo Bidari came free, but Silvestre Giro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eliseo Enekoitz to make the kick off. Silverio Umea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliseo Enekoitz in the 51st minute of the match. 52 minutes into the game, Raimundo Hanni was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Carabelas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Garré AFC the free kick. After 52 played minutes Carabelas got a freekick which was hit by Raimundo Hanni. Teofilo Derwin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Silvestre Giro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eliseo Enekoitz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silverio Umea having to interfere. Teofilo Derwin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Silvestre Giro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Teofilo Derwin came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Carabelas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teofilo Derwin couldn't finish the play. Reynaldo Irrintzi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvestre Giro having to interfere. In the 76th match minute, Garré AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luis Torres to maneuver through the defense. If Leo Bidari had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseo Enekoitz in the 92nd minute of play forced Carabelas's goalkeeper Silverio Umea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carabelas were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
