When Fernan Alvarez came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Timote fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fernan Alvarez couldn't finish the play. Fernan Alvarez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jonatan Abalos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silverio Umea having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Timote's Jonatan Abalos got a free kick in the 25th minute. When Jonatan Abalos got the opportunity to take care of a free kick it resulted in a really dangerous shot that almost went in the goal. Instead the ball went too high, a missed opportunity for Timote. After a defensive mix-up in Carabelas's zone, Fernan Alvarez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silverio Umea came out of the goal and Fernan Alvarez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 27th minute Fernan Alvarez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silverio Umea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Teofilo Derwin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Ricardo Sadurni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carabelas's Silverio Umea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonatan Abalos in the 38th minute of play. Raimundo Hanni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Sadurni having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fernan Alvarez was the one to do the kick off. Jonatan Abalos succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-1 in the 61st playminute. In the 65th minute, Timote's Fernan Alvarez ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Silverio Umea. In the 95th minute there was a penalty for Carabelas. German Salbatore stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ricardo Sadurni. 1-3. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Timote had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
