It was a penalty for Sportivo Caza Leon! In the 8th minute there was a penalty for Molinitos FC. Alejo Lluciano stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Federico Timo. 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Sportivo Caza Leon's zone, Emilio Gorbea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Federico Timo came out of the goal and Emilio Gorbea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Honorio Fernado received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Angelo Perpinya came out and tried to block the shot, but Honorio Fernado slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 15th minute. Maximo Argenis hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. A collision led to Sportivo Caza Leon getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Edgardo Rios hit a great ball. Alejo Lluciano struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Federico Timo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Molinitos FC. In the 31st minute, Emilio Gorbea left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Molinitos FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Honorio Fernado struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Maximo Argenis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Federico Timo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Molinitos FC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Honorio Fernado made the kick off in the second half. Molinitos FC's Jeremias Tabby got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
