The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jeremias Tabby during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. With an all-out effort, Molinitos FC's Silvestre Veremundo threw himself towards the right post 22 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Emilio Federigo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atletico Los Andes's zone, Emilio Federigo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silvestre Veremundo came out of the goal and Emilio Federigo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Molinitos FC's Emilio Federigo got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Aristides Lucero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Silvestre Veremundo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. In the 48th minute, Aristides Lucero got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Silvestre Veremundo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emilio Federigo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Aristides Lucero came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Molinitos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aristides Lucero couldn't finish the play. Emilio Federigo struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Silvestre Veremundo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Molinitos FC. Silvestre Veremundo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Emilio Federigo's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. Aristides Lucero took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Silvestre Veremundo. Silvestre Veremundo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Molinitos FC's Angelo Perpinya played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Domingo Jaizki in the 77th minute of play. When Erenay Şölen fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Molinitos FC's protests and gave Erenay Şölen a yellow card for diving instead. Erenay Şölen kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Aquiles Oskitz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Angelo Perpinya read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. Silvestre Veremundo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emilio Federigo in the 80th minute of the match. Emilio Gorbea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Club Atletico Los Andes getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Adrian Tolino hit a great ball. Silvestre Veremundo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Emilio Federigo's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. 92 minutes into the match, Emilio Federigo notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Club Atletico Los Andes's Silvestre Veremundo. Silvestre Veremundo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Emilio Federigo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvestre Veremundo having to interfere. Molinitos FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
