Melquiades Turi came out of the goal and Saverio Esdras tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 22 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Belgrano's goal looked a bit too open when Roberto Fidensio came free, but Osvaldo Abechuco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Matancilla AFC's Benjamin Vincent got a free kick in the 24th minute. Modesto Florian struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Melquiades Turi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Atletico Belgrano. Saverio Esdras fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Melquiades Turi having to interfere. Osvaldo Abechuco didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Roberto Fidensio went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Saverio Esdras managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atletico Belgrano's supporters rose to their feet, but Saverio Esdras was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Melquiades Turi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Club Atletico Belgrano's Saverio Esdras got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Matancilla AFC's Melquiades Turi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Modesto Florian in the 62nd minute of play. 67 minutes into the match, Saverio Esdras had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Melquiades Turi. Matancilla AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Saverio Esdras was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Melquiades Turi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saverio Esdras in the 84th minute of the match. Roberto Fidensio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 91 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Belgrano's goalkeeper Osvaldo Abechuco had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcial Matthew. Roberto Fidensio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Osvaldo Abechuco read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. The Club Atletico Belgrano supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Matancilla AFC's performance. The match ended with a win for Matancilla AFC.
