Higinio Brais stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hilario Guib's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. Ernesto Ledesma fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Higinio Brais having to interfere. In the 24th minute, Ernesto Ledesma got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 26 minutes into the match, CSDM Chañarense's goal looked a bit too open when Leonel Grabiel came free, but Paulo Federigo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Maximo Lope hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Roque Ursino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Joel Gipuzkoa kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Ernesto Ledesma might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Higinio Brais. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ernesto Ledesma ran back to his position shaking his head. If Hilario Guib had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 35 played minutes Soldevilla FC got a freekick which was hit by Ovidio Lizar. CSDM Chañarense's Paulo Federigo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonel Grabiel in the 39th minute of play. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Soldevilla FC's goalkeeper Higinio Brais, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Soldevilla FC's Higinio Brais played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hilario Guib in the 44th minute of play. If Leonel Grabiel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roque Ursino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 49th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Federigo having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Hilario Guib made the kick off in the second half. Leonel Grabiel received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Paulo Federigo came out and tried to block the shot, but Leonel Grabiel slotted it home off the left post making it 0-1 in the 57th minute. In the 64th minute, Soldevilla FC's Fabricio Abalos seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Fabricio Abalos the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Soldevilla FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Fabricio Abalos had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 63 minutes into the game, one of Soldevilla FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. A collision led to CSDM Chañarense getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Elias Jokin hit a great ball. When Roque Ursino came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Soldevilla FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roque Ursino couldn't finish the play. If Domingos Quico had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Ernesto Ledesma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Higinio Brais made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernesto Ledesma in the 98th minute of play. When Ernesto Ledesma came up free with the goalie in the 100th minute, the CSDM Chañarense fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ernesto Ledesma couldn't finish the play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Soldevilla FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
