The CSDM Chañarense fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Marcelo Eliu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hilario Guib in the 32nd minute of play. 35 minutes into the game, Alfredo Cordarell was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Comunicaciones's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CSDM Chañarense the free kick. Alfredo Cordarell kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Club Comunicaciones's Marcelo Eliu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hilario Guib in the 47th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After having played for 70 minutes, Celso Nuxila managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Comunicaciones's supporters crossed their fingers, but Celso Nuxila was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 72 minutes into the match, Club Comunicaciones's goal looked a bit too open when Hilario Guib came free, but Marcelo Eliu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Alfredo Cordarell came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Club Comunicaciones fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfredo Cordarell couldn't finish the play. Celso Nuxila fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Federigo having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Celso Nuxila's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Paulo Federigo was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. Club Comunicaciones's Baldomiro Leoiar suffered a concussion after 80 minutes and had to leave the field. 80 minutes into the game, Serafino Cordarius was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Marcelo Eliu acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 97th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Simon Ramirez. The CSDM Chañarense players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
