Spectators: 7270 (Terracing: 5454, Seating: 1672, VIP seats: 144) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Elias Nerio kicked off to start the match. When Domingos Cebrian came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Pucará FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Domingos Cebrian couldn't finish the play. Francisco Eyague took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgardo Irrintzi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Alvaro Policarpio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 17th minute, Edgardo Irrintzi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Chapanay FC's zone, Elias Nerio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Danny Brotherton came out of the goal and Elias Nerio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 31 minutes into the match, Pucará FC's Domingos Cebrian sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Danny Brotherton narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Alvaro Policarpio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 45th match minute, Pucará FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Argi to maneuver through the defense. Domingos Cebrian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

59 minutes into the match, Chapanay FC's goalkeeper Danny Brotherton had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Domingos Cebrian. Pucará FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Emilio Polentzi in the 61st minute. The corner ended in Emilio Polentzi almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Chapanay FC's Danny Brotherton did a great save. Danny Brotherton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elias Nerio in the 69th minute of the match. Roque Illart hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Eleuterio Nerio, 76 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After a rather tough play, Chapanay FC's Feliberto Mikelar got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Danny Brotherton came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Pucará FC's Elias Nerio. But to his dismay, Elias Nerio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Francisco Eyague made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alvaro Policarpio in the 90th minute of play. After having played for 92 minutes, Roque Illart managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pucará FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roque Illart was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Elias Nerio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Chapanay FC players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
