After 15 minutes of play, Belgrano de Córdoba's Tomás Blasco made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Danny Brotherton was left in no man's land by his defense there! Tomás Blasco's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 18thth minute, Danny Brotherton skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 21 minutes into the match, Chapanay FC's goalkeeper Danny Brotherton had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomás Blasco. After a rather tough play, Chapanay FC's Leandro Shantala got a free kick in the 21st minute. In the 25th minute, Alvaro Policarpio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 27 minutes, Marcelo Brion managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Belgrano de Córdoba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcelo Brion was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Chapanay FC's Feliberto Mikelar got a free kick in the 31st minute. Everardo Urtats took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 31st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Danny Brotherton. Chapanay FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 38th minute of the match Belgrano de Córdoba got a corner. Chapanay FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Everardo Urtats ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Belgrano de Córdoba's Everardo Urtats to fire away a dangerous shot which Danny Brotherton despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Chapanay FC's Danny Brotherton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelo Brion in the 40th minute of play. If Tomás Blasco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Alvaro Policarpio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osvaldo Vitin having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Tomás Blasco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 58th minute, Edgardo Irrintzi fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Osvaldo Vitin, passed just outside the right post. When Amador Bazil fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Belgrano de Córdoba's protests and gave Amador Bazil a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Belgrano de Córdoba's Amador Bazil got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Danny Brotherton came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Belgrano de Córdoba's Romulo Mendiko. But to his dismay, Romulo Mendiko quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 68th match minute, Belgrano de Córdoba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amador Bazil to maneuver through the defense. Danny Brotherton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomás Blasco, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. After taking down the ball on Belgrano de Córdoba's corner Everardo Urtats fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Danny Brotherton quite easily take care of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edgardo Irrintzi during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Tomás Blasco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Chapanay FC's Alvaro Policarpio got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chapanay FC's goalkeeper Danny Brotherton, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Danny Brotherton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomás Blasco in the 88th minute of play.
