Hermanos Del Poniente's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pascual Checa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Amadeo Gudesteo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anier Bordat having to interfere. In the 17th minute Marcial Hartz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anier Bordat saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 25 played minutes Saynatsalo FC got a freekick which was hit by Lorenzo Panfilo. Anier Bordat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pascual Checa in the 28th minute of play. Anier Bordat took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pascual Checa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hermanos Del Poniente's Anier Bordat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pascual Checa in the 32nd minute of play. 38 minutes into the game, Jacobo Donio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hermanos Del Poniente's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Saynatsalo FC the free kick. In the 39th match minute, Hermanos Del Poniente was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacobo Donio to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Pascual Checa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Saynatsalo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Pascual Checa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Saynatsalo FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
