Hermengildo Atarratze might have been able to make a better finish in the 2nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Robustiano Gombal. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hermengildo Atarratze ran back to his position shaking his head. Teodosio Belo charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Teodosio Belo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Tortuguitas's Teodosio Belo got a free kick in the 4th minute. Damaso Baldovino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 9 minutes into the game, Lucio Nicholas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Astor Baleren was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 15 minutes into the match, Tortuguitas's goal looked a bit too open when Hermengildo Atarratze came free, but Robustiano Gombal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Damaso Baldovino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Robustiano Gombal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Hermengildo Atarratze had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Fenix's Apolo Jerrald got a free kick in the 27th minute. Robustiano Gombal made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Damaso Baldovino sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hermengildo Atarratze in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Robustiano Gombal saved Tortuguitas from getting behind. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hermengildo Atarratze stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Tortuguitas defense, Damaso Baldovino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Robustiano Gombal. The Tortuguitas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Robustiano Gombal should have stopped the shot. After having played for 63 minutes, Lucio Nicholas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tortuguitas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucio Nicholas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Fenix's Apolo Jerrald got a free kick in the 65th minute. Hermengildo Atarratze sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hermengildo Atarratze in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Robustiano Gombal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hermengildo Atarratze fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robustiano Gombal having to interfere. Robustiano Gombal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damaso Baldovino in the 80th minute of play. After having played for 82 minutes, Damaso Baldovino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fenix's supporters crossed their fingers, but Damaso Baldovino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Robustiano Gombal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 93 minutes into the match, Tortuguitas's goal looked a bit too open when Damaso Baldovino came free, but Robustiano Gombal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hermengildo Atarratze scored 5-1 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Robustiano Gombal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Fenix fully deserved thier win.
