When Teo Baladi came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Rayo Rosarino fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teo Baladi couldn't finish the play. Bernabe Cordero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Manuel Tirso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jeremias Koldo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Tirso having to interfere. Rayo Rosarino's Manuel Tirso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernabe Cordero in the 12th minute of play. Manuel Tirso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernabe Cordero in the 14th minute of play. Joel Medardo hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. The supporters of Rayo Rosarino booed when C.A Santa Paula was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luciano Leguizamón didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22nd minute, Jeremias Koldo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Manuel Tirso was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Bernabe Cordero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Manuel Tirso made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Jeremias Koldo sent off a good shot on target. Manuel Tirso was out of position in the 32 minute of play, and Bernabe Cordero capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Bernabe Cordero really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Teo Baladi took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eriberto Rutenio. Eriberto Rutenio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Teo Baladi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eriberto Rutenio having to interfere. 45 minutes into the match, C.A Santa Paula's goal looked a bit too open when Teo Baladi came free, but Eriberto Rutenio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ignacio Charro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bernabe Cordero to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Cornelio Guillelmus was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. C.A Santa Paula's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rayo Rosarino the free kick. Cornelio Guillelmus hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teo Baladi in the 54th minute of play forced C.A Santa Paula's goalkeeper Eriberto Rutenio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eriberto Rutenio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teo Baladi in the 56th minute of the match. Manuel Tirso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeremias Koldo, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Eriberto Rutenio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teo Baladi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jeremias Koldo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Manuel Tirso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 72 minutes, Bernabe Cordero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. C.A Santa Paula's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bernabe Cordero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 78th minute, Teo Baladi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Teo Baladi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eriberto Rutenio having to interfere. In a very dangerous position, a player in C.A Santa Paula fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 92nd minute. Penalty! Modesto Txaran shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal.
