The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Mariano Brion received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Robustiano Gombal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tortuguitas's Robustiano Gombal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teo Txanton in the 7th minute of play. Erasmo Caradaro struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Robustiano Gombal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C.A. Barrio Roma. C.A. Barrio Roma's Silvano Peruxu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ceferino Quinteros in the 12th minute of play. In the 14th minute Ceferino Quinteros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvano Peruxu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mariano Brion recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of C.A. Barrio Roma booed when Tortuguitas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquin Peio didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg Robustiano Gombal managed to avoid a goal in the 27thth minute, when C.A. Barrio Roma's Mariano Brion fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 33 minutes in the game, Mariano Brion fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Robustiano Gombal having to interfere. Teodosio Belo charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Teodosio Belo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 40 played minutes Tortuguitas got a freekick which was hit by Teodosio Belo. 45 minutes into the match, C.A. Barrio Roma's Mariano Brion sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Robustiano Gombal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Tortuguitas's zone, Mariano Brion stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Robustiano Gombal came out of the goal and Mariano Brion tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Mariano Brion put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Robustiano Gombal. Mariano Brion struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Robustiano Gombal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C.A. Barrio Roma. Lucio Nicholas took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Silvano Peruxu. Silvano Peruxu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Robustiano Gombal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Brion, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Ceferino Quinteros's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 69thth minute, Silvano Peruxu skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 74th minute, Silvio Ourente hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Brion in the 77th minute of play forced Tortuguitas's goalkeeper Robustiano Gombal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mariano Brion scored 2-1 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Robustiano Gombal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Erasmo Caradaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 93rd minute, Hipolito Refugio fired a really elegant long shot, but Silvano Peruxu threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. Celedonio Valiente sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. C.A. Barrio Roma fully deserved thier win.
