Saverio Jesco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeremias Koldo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jeremias Koldo in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Saverio Jesco prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Saverio Jesco stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jeremias Koldo's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. Leonel Itzaina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eriberto Rutenio having to interfere. Eriberto Rutenio made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Leonel Itzaina sent off a good shot on target. If Jeremias Koldo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jeremias Koldo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Saverio Jesco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 47th minute by Leonel Itzaina got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aldo Dolfo was the one to do the kick off. Eriberto Rutenio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonel Itzaina, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Leonel Itzaina managed to get in a good position for a shot.
