Club S y D Villa Podesta's Eloy Shepherd proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Club S y D Villa Podesta from getting a goal against them. Eloy Shepherd made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Lucio Turi sent off a good shot on target. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lucio Turi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Eloy Shepherd made a huge save. Lucio Turi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Lucio Turi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Eloy Shepherd made a huge save. Esteban Arotza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Virgilio Kusko was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucio Turi in the 53rd minute of play forced Club S y D Villa Podesta's goalkeeper Eloy Shepherd to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benigno Senio charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Benigno Senio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Club S y D Villa Podesta's Ceferino Jeraldo got a free kick in the 69th minute. Eloy Shepherd showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucio Turi, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. In the 72nd minute, Lucio Turi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The loquitos de meri fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Eloy Shepherd took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Esteban Arotza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eloy Shepherd showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucio Turi in the 80th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Esteban Arotza in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eloy Shepherd saved Club S y D Villa Podesta from getting behind. Club S y D Villa Podesta's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
