Virgilio Kusko's late challenge caught a Rayo Rosarino's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Virgilio Kusko helped the player get up and apologised. In the 9th minute, Virgilio Kusko hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eloy Shepherd took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teo Baladi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 12th match minute, Club S y D Villa Podesta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Israel Aurken to maneuver through the defense. Ignacio Charro struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Eloy Shepherd didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rayo Rosarino. Club S y D Villa Podesta's Eloy Shepherd played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teo Baladi in the 19th minute of play. Eloy Shepherd took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ignacio Charro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Club S y D Villa Podesta defense, Ignacio Charro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eloy Shepherd. The Club S y D Villa Podesta fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eloy Shepherd should have stopped the shot. Ignacio Charro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eloy Shepherd read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. After the first half Rayo Rosarino were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Virgilio Kusko stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Teo Baladi in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eloy Shepherd prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Eloy Shepherd made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teo Baladi in the 69th minute of play. If Teo Baladi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Virgilio Kusko was shown his second yellow card after 77 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to Club S y D Villa Podesta getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Virgilio Kusko hit a great ball. Eloy Shepherd made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teo Baladi in the 81st minute of play. 86 minutes into the game, Ceferino Jeraldo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club S y D Villa Podesta's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rayo Rosarino the free kick. Eloy Shepherd was out of position in the 89 minute of play, and Ignacio Charro capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ignacio Charro really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Ignacio Charro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rayo Rosarino's supporters rose to their feet, but Ignacio Charro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eloy Shepherd breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Rayo Rosarino eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
