Frontera's supporters rose to their feet, but Hilario Errolan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Juan Garikoitz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Juan Garikoitz acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 42nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Celso Sarracino. With an all-out effort, Frontera's Juan Garikoitz threw himself towards the right post 44 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jorge Dubardo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net.

The supporters of Viale booed when Frontera was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Dubardo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hilario Errolan charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. A collision led to Viale getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Nicolas Petrigai hit a great ball. In the 84th match minute, Viale was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Rameriz to maneuver through the defense. In the 87th minute Anier Telesforo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicanor Gizon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
