In the 17th minute, Jonathan Ferdinand got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 0-1 became the score in the 22nd minute when Aurelio Rioja elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Aurelio Rioja received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Siro Ler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to F.C Buenos Aires getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Dalmacio Fagildo hit a great ball. Teo Garoa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jorge Vicente Bullon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. In the 35th minute, Aurelio Rioja ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Siro Ler was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After some careless play in the F.C Buenos Aires defense, Aurelio Rioja kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Siro Ler. The F.C Buenos Aires fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Siro Ler should have stopped the shot. 43 minutes into the match, F.C Buenos Aires's goal looked a bit too open when Jonathan Ferdinand came free, but Siro Ler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jonathan Ferdinand stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Juanito Camoin's late challenge caught a F.C Buenos Aires's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Juanito Camoin helped the player get up and apologised. In the 84th minute, Juanito Camoin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
