But to his dismay, Ignacio Jaunzuria quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Unión de Santa Fe's Gavino Modestio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nereo Eguzki in the 17th minute of play. 18 minutes into the game, Cleto Kismi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Unión de Santa Fe's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave central norte the free kick. The supporters of central norte booed when Unión de Santa Fe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cleto Kismi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gavino Modestio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benito Petrigai in the 19th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Unión de Santa Fe's zone, Nereo Eguzki stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gavino Modestio came out of the goal and Nereo Eguzki tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cesar Frascuelo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Mauro Mateo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Unión de Santa Fe's Cesar Frascuelo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Mauro Mateo. That made the score 2-0 after 34 minutes of play. Nereo Eguzki's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gavino Modestio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. When central norte's Benito Petrigai in the 40th minute got a chance for a shot 40th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Unión de Santa Fe's goalie prevented a goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The wind increased when Benito Petrigai made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Unión de Santa Fe's goal looked a bit too open when Benito Petrigai came free, but Gavino Modestio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mauro Mateo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cesar Frascuelo in the 58th minute of the match. 60 minutes into the match, central norte's Nereo Eguzki sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gavino Modestio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpected shot in the 61st minute by Nereo Eguzki got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Gavino Modestio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nereo Eguzki in the 70th minute. Ignacio Jaunzuria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Mauro Mateo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ignacio Jaunzuria in the 91st minute of play. central norte's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
