After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Remigio Herena managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gualjaina's supporters rose to their feet, but Remigio Herena was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Siro Cristofor breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alberto Oto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Siro Cristofor read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. The supporters of Gualjaina booed when Saints futbal club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcos Mel didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 12th minute, Octavio Selmo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 13 minutes, Pastor Cordara managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gualjaina's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pastor Cordara was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Aureliano Firmin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Saints futbal club's supporters rose to their feet, but Aureliano Firmin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paulino Lauro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Oto in the 25th minute of play forced Saints futbal club's goalkeeper Siro Cristofor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Octavio Selmo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Octavio Selmo came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Saints futbal club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Octavio Selmo couldn't finish the play. With 35 minutes on the clock, Marcos Mel commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 35 played minutes Saints futbal club got a freekick which was hit by Marcos Mel. Siro Cristofor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robustiano Kemen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Siro Cristofor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Remigio Herena, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. 43 minutes into the match, Saints futbal club's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Oto came free, but Siro Cristofor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pastor Cordara made a kick off. Remigio Herena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Saints futbal club getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Aureliano Firmin hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Saints futbal club's Tomas Berasko got a free kick in the 57th minute. 64 minutes into the game, Gualjaina's Remigio Herena nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Siro Cristofor made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. With a little luck, Saints futbal club's Siro Cristofor got control of the ball when Remigio Herena tried to sneak it across the goal line. 71 minutes in the game, Pastor Cordara fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Siro Cristofor having to interfere. Gogo Oliverios received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Siro Cristofor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 1-1 came in the 91st minute when Fabio Firmo all by himself managed to get straight through the defense and place the ball into the net to the right of Paulino Lauro. Tomas Berasko recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
