Faustino Gartzi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anastasio Maldonado having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Unión Oncativo's zone, Aureliano Primo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ermegildo Pagomari came out of the goal and Aureliano Primo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 26 played minutes, Unión Oncativo's Salvador Poz shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Anastasio Maldonado came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Unión Oncativo reached it. A collision led to Unión Oncativo getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Salvador Poz hit a great ball. With a little luck, Unión Oncativo's Ermegildo Pagomari got control of the ball when Aureliano Primo tried to sneak it across the goal line. 32 minutes into the game, Unión Oncativo's Sebastian Chorche nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Anastasio Maldonado made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. 39 minutes into the match, Unión Oncativo's Faustino Gartzi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Anastasio Maldonado narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Unión Oncativo were awarded a corner in the 42th minute after C.A.B.MITRE's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Miguel Iratzeder took the corner. After taking down the ball on Unión Oncativo's corner Miguel Iratzeder fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Anastasio Maldonado quite easily take care of the ball. Sebastian Chorche received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Anastasio Maldonado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The C.A.B.MITRE players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Unión Oncativo were winning 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Felix Cordero was the one to do the kick off. Ermegildo Pagomari made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Cordero in the 52nd minute of play. 55 minutes into the game, C.A.B.MITRE's Aureliano Primo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ermegildo Pagomari made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Ermegildo Pagomari made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Cordero in the 59th minute of play. 60 minutes into the match, Unión Oncativo's goal looked a bit too open when Aureliano Primo came free, but Ermegildo Pagomari reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ermegildo Pagomari showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Cordero in the 66th minute of the match. Ermegildo Pagomari took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Cordero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aureliano Primo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ermegildo Pagomari having to make a save. Anastasio Maldonado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Faustino Gartzi, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Ermegildo Pagomari made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Efrain Ieltxu in the 80th minute of play. If Aureliano Primo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sebastian Chorche struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Anastasio Maldonado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Unión Oncativo. The Unión Oncativo supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Unión Oncativo would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
