In the 24thth minute of the game Urbano Furtado who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Los pinos's Delmiro Mincho was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 25th minute, Omar Eder hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Urbano Furtado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Delmiro Mincho was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. Ruperto Lleir made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramon Montae in the 32nd minute of play. Ricardo Sidoro's late challenge caught a Haedo AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ricardo Sidoro helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Los pinos getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. The supporters of Haedo AFC booed when Los pinos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tadeo Ezkerra didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Los pinos's Delmiro Mincho got control of the ball when Clodoveo Dolfos tried to sneak it across the goal line. Urbano Furtado received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Delmiro Mincho came out and tried to block the shot, but Urbano Furtado slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 45th minute.

After 62 played minutes Los pinos got a freekick which was hit by Lorenzo Atarratze. After 63 played minutes, Haedo AFC's Jairo Ubelteso shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Delmiro Mincho came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Haedo AFC reached it. Ermegildo Venceslao might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ruperto Lleir. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ermegildo Venceslao ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Urbano Furtado in the 72nd minute of play forced Los pinos's goalkeeper Delmiro Mincho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Ignacio Cordario had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 78th match minute, Los pinos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ramon Montae to maneuver through the defense.
