An unexpectedly hard shot by Aureliano Lizardi in the 18th minute of play forced El Defe's goalkeeper Ricardo Celio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the last second Jimeno Jayvier throw himself and got hold of the ball when Generoso Tabor in the 31stth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Ricardo Celio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Atilano Urti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eduardo Mon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Celio having to interfere. After 37 minutes El Defe's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Silvestre Bernad who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Silvestre Bernad almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but El Defe's Ricardo Celio did a great save. If Valentin Evarado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eduardo Mon made a kick off. Eduardo Mon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ricardo Celio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eduardo Mon, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. 57 minutes into the match, MTD FC's goal looked a bit too open when Generoso Tabor came free, but Jimeno Jayvier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
