Teobaldo Egoi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hermengildo Chaime having to make a save. The supporters of Imperio Galáctico FC booed when Glorioso Vélez Sársfield was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mauricio Vela didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg Remigiusz Banan managed to avoid a goal in the 15thth minute, when Imperio Galáctico FC's Jose Mateus fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Jose Mateus fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Imperio Galáctico FC's protests and gave Jose Mateus a yellow card for diving instead. After 29 played minutes Imperio Galáctico FC got a freekick which was hit by Jose Mateus. Melquiades Vistruario was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 30 minutes into the match. Conrado Bermudez shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. When Honorato Honesto came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Imperio Galáctico FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Honorato Honesto couldn't finish the play. 42 minutes into the match, Glorioso Vélez Sársfield's Wilfredo Erasto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hermengildo Chaime narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Ermegildo Jakes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Imperio Galáctico FC booed when Glorioso Vélez Sársfield was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudio Bizi didn't get a good kick on the ball.

Hermengildo Chaime made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilfredo Erasto in the 55th minute of play. After having played for 56 minutes, Ermegildo Jakes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Imperio Galáctico FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ermegildo Jakes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 57 played minutes Imperio Galáctico FC got a freekick which was hit by Maximiliano Pelagius. Hermengildo Chaime took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilfredo Erasto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ermegildo Jakes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Remigiusz Banan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 69th minute Ermegildo Jakes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Remigiusz Banan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jose Mateus kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Imperio Galáctico FC's Jose Mateus got a free kick in the 71st minute. Teobaldo Egoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Hermengildo Chaime tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Imperio Galáctico FC's Octavio Orlanda got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Chants of Glorioso Vélez Sársfield echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Imperio Galáctico FC had held the ball for most of the match.
