A collision led to Godofredo getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Alejo Benat hit a great ball. Rodrigo Maiorga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Eusebio Gartzea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Chacay City Fc's Teobaldo Leizarraga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filiberto Sanson in the 32nd minute of play. Ruben Gonzo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Teobaldo Leizarraga read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. If Filiberto Sanson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Saturnino Peyo's late challenge caught a Godofredo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Saturnino Peyo helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Chacay City Fc's Saturnino Peyo got a free kick in the 48th minute. After 48 played minutes, Godofredo's Higinio Acosta shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Teobaldo Leizarraga came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Godofredo reached it. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When Filiberto Sanson came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Godofredo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Filiberto Sanson couldn't finish the play. Nestor Pasqual charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The supporters of Chacay City Fc booed when Godofredo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 99 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alejo Benat didn't get a good kick on the ball. 101 minutes into the match, Godofredo's goal looked a bit too open when Rodrigo Maiorga came free, but Eusebio Gartzea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Godofredo had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
