The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wilfredo Erasto helped the player get up and apologised. Wilfredo Erasto hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Man Red FC's Augusto Lizer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Man Red FC from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Man Red FC's zone, Wilfredo Erasto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Augusto Lizer came out of the goal and Wilfredo Erasto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 11th minute, Aureliano Weather hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The throw-in from Damian Lico in the 13th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Glorioso Vélez Sársfield's Conrado Bermudez. 14 minutes into the match, Man Red FC's goal looked a bit too open when Wilfredo Erasto came free, but Augusto Lizer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Augusto Lizer came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by Glorioso Vélez Sársfield's Wilfredo Erasto. But to his dismay, Wilfredo Erasto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Wilfredo Erasto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arnulfo Lizar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remigiusz Banan having to interfere. Augusto Lizer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilfredo Erasto in the 21st minute of play. Augusto Lizer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilfredo Erasto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wilfredo Erasto had several of the Man Red FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 34 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Augusto Lizer as he didn't even see the shot coming. The supporters of Man Red FC booed when Glorioso Vélez Sársfield was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erasmo Idacio didn't get a good kick on the ball. 40 minutes into the match, Glorioso Vélez Sársfield's goal looked a bit too open when Jaime Baldovino came free, but Remigiusz Banan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Man Red FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 41st minute, when Teobaldo Egoi scored to the left of an out of position Augusto Lizer, making the score, 3-0. If Arnulfo Lizar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wilfredo Erasto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Glorioso Vélez Sársfield's Teobaldo Egoi got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 64 minutes into the match, Glorioso Vélez Sársfield's Teobaldo Egoi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Augusto Lizer narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Wilfredo Erasto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 74th minute, Teobaldo Egoi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Glorioso Vélez Sársfield fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Arnulfo Lizar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Remigiusz Banan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. If Jaime Baldovino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Glorioso Vélez Sársfield fans cheered their team off the field, for while Man Red FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
