An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilfredo Loi in the 19th minute of play forced Muertitos Fútbol Club's goalkeeper Marcial Tino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 20 minutes into the game, Club Atlético Libertador's Ignacio Mero nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcial Tino made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Marcial Tino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rolando Fernandes in the 23rd minute of the match. Marcial Tino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilfredo Loi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30th minute Higinio Palban shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurél Dobránszky saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Club Atlético Libertador's Ubaldo Cedro got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Wilfredo Loi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 48th match minute, Muertitos Fútbol Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Severino Paio to maneuver through the defense. After the first half Club Atlético Libertador were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The audience was convinced that Wilfredo Loi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcial Tino was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. The tension between the Muertitos Fútbol Club and the Club Atlético Libertador players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Club Atlético Libertador booed when Muertitos Fútbol Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ezequiel Castulo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 71st minute, Wilfredo Loi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Celedonio Peyo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Muertitos Fútbol Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Celedonio Peyo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aurél Dobránszky breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Wilfredo Loi who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 80thth minute tested the skills of Marcial Tino when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Ignacio Mero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Marcial Tino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 90th minute of the match, Wilfredo Loi got a very nice opportunity to score, but Marcial Tino was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wilfredo Loi in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcial Tino saved Muertitos Fútbol Club from getting behind. Wilfredo Lois short, quick shot in the 98thth minute got Marcial Tino to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Club Atlético Libertador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
