The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Benedicto Esiquio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardino Lazcano having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Hachiroku F.C.'s zone, Marco Dimo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leopoldo Ferrer came out of the goal and Marco Dimo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 11th minute, Benedicto Esiquio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 13 minutes into the game, Buba FC's Marco Dimo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Leopoldo Ferrer made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Bernardino Lazcano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benedicto Esiquio in the 17th minute of the match. Marco Dimo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 32 minutes into the match, Buba FC's Marco Dimo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leopoldo Ferrer narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Domingos Camerino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Hachiroku F.C. booed when Buba FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ivan Luzea didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Buba FC getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Honorato Gonsalve hit a great ball. Cosme Maura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Leopoldo Ferrer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marco Dimo in the 42nd minute of the match. Bernardino Lazcano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cosme Maura in the 44th minute. Fabricio Mendiko hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. The long shot by Baltasar Peio in the 46th minute really tested Bernardino Lazcano's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Rodrigo Nel took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leopoldo Ferrer. Leopoldo Ferrer dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Benedicto Esiquio to make the kick off. In the 54th match minute, Buba FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andres Benvide to maneuver through the defense. Cosme Maura recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Honorato Gonsalve got free with Leopoldo Ferrer in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind Hachiroku F.C.'s goalkeeper Leopoldo Ferrer, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Marco Dimo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Leopoldo Ferrer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rodrigo Nel's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. Hachiroku F.C.'s goalkeeper couldn't reach when Marco Dimo 76 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-3. Bernardino Lazcano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benedicto Esiquio, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. After 80 played minutes Buba FC got a freekick which was hit by Honorato Gonsalve. Bernardino Lazcano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benedicto Esiquio in the 81st minute of play. 92 minutes into the match, Hachiroku F.C.'s goalkeeper Leopoldo Ferrer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rodrigo Nel. A collision led to Hachiroku F.C. getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Antonio Jerrold hit a great ball. The Buba FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Buba FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
